What actually happen.

It all began in a far away land, known as France. With the royalty enjoying all the luxuries given to them and the all the stories of trolls, goblins, fairies, horsemen, witches, wizards, fishmen, angels, and demons; common folk had very little hope at all.

And during this low morale time, a noble’s son was celebrating his birthday. This boy was sixteenth in line for the throne of France and the favorite grand nephew of the current king. His title had not yet been given to him as he had not had his first concubine yet. But his family ruled over a small twenty-three hundred acres of  land, one hundred miles south of Paris. His party consisted of hundreds of guests from all provinces of France, Germany, Spain, and England.

His father and mother had sent him to their summer castle, while they attended affairs in Paris. They had made sure that a trusted butler and wet nurse went with a full staff to prepare for any eventualities.

In the midst of a young noble boy’s sixth birthday party, a loud knock was heard upon his family’s castle door. The butler when to investigate who could have been knocking on the door. And lo, when he opened it to see a beautiful young maiden standing in the night air.

She asked to come in as to take shelter from the night air. The butler allowed her to come in but directed her away from the feasting hall where the young noble was currently enjoying his party.

The ruckus could be heard all over the castle, but the butler made sure to keep his charge sealed in the feasting hall.

The butler had escorted the maiden to the maids’ quarters and placed her under their supervisor for the evening. There she was given a warm bath and some table scraps from the feast as well as an unused bed for the evening.

She awoke from her slumber in the morning was given a breakfast and sent on her way before the noble even had thoughts of waking up.
