Not written by DC or Marvel, but those by the names of Breathed, Larson, Watterson, Adams, and Amend. Those comic books brought many an hour of joy and made time on the pot pass. My childhood comic books were those of wit and physical humor. Heroes of the normal variety that had no special powers other than that the law never seemed to affect them in a wrong way. Reading them in the Sunday newspaper in full color made the week. Rereading them over and over made them stick in your mind and recall them even now.
