What are your family’s top 3 favorite meals?
3. Hodge Podge – a crockpot meal
1 can of Rotel tomatoes
2 cans of Ranch beans
2 cans of yellow corn
2 cans of black beans
2 cans of Minestrone soup
Browned ground beef cooked with a half an onion
Dump all ingredients into a large crockpot and cook on High for 4 hours. Serves 10
2. Brinner- Breakfast for dinner
Fry thick cut bacon in a skillet – 2 slices per serving
Drain excess grease save for future cooking endeavors
Scramble 2 eggs per serving. Cook in bacon greased skillet to desired density.
Cook a can of biscuits following instructions on the can
Grits – boil 2 cups of water in a pot. Dump in one cup of grits. Remove from heat allow grits to clump while stirring.
Serves as many as it needs to.
- Mom’s spaghetti –
Boil water in a large pot, dump in noodles of choice, cook til tender, drain pot of excess water
In a large skillet, brown ground beef, cook half an onion, season to taste
Pour in tender noodles into ground beef, mix all together. Place a healthy, 2 cup, layer of cheese on top of noodles and beef. Place lid on top and allow cheese to melt.
Serve when wanted
P.S. as a leftover food, it tastes even better when reheated in a microwave.
