What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?
I have tried many different paths, but security seems to be my best fit.
I’ve tried being a cook, but most kitchens have low countertops. Though I am a good cook, my back cannot handle being bent over for long periods of time. So being a chef didn’t work out.
I tried to work at Walmart, but when I started to try and better myself by going to school, they fired me. They discriminate much against smart workers.
I tried my hand at construction work, but most places demanded that you work in a 150-degree warehouse building parts before building it in the field. Minimum wage for lots of pain. It’s not worth it. I quit after a month and when my vehicle lost most of its paint.
Seasonal delivery work was fun but temporary.
Writing is always going to be a joy, but the work is always all over the place, so I’ll keep it as a hobby. Unless my books make money, then I might change my mind.
The military is fun but part-time. I don’t think I’ll move to active unless told to.
Security is good enough for me. Pay attention, don’t sleep, be aware. It’s definitely the best fit for me.
