What major historical events do you remember?

When the towers fell

I was in middle school

The teachers pulled us from gym class

Moved us to the library

And made us watch history in the making

Symbols of our country

Were destroyed in an instant

Planes crashed into buildings

My heart plummeted at the sight

History shifted

And 24 years later

It seems to be forgot.
