Hut tuh
The marching cry went
The knights marched forward
Battles lay before them
Wars won behind them
These warrior soldiers
Not monks
Nor schemers
These were men anointed in blood and ash
These were the elite of unknown style.
Their swords could cut clean
Through rock and metal and time
Bright they shone
Like stars they were
Their armor was light and polished
It gave the gristled men the appearance of heroes
But they were not afraid to bleed
If red was the color of their blood
They never show it
All covering and vacuumed sealed
Their armor was.
Shields they also bore as tall as each soldier,
Thigh to shoulder
Each shield was latched onto the soldier’s wrist
To establish that the shield was there to stay
On long marches like the one before me
They carried an external battery around their waist
The ground shakes at their march
The armies that are before them flee
Blasters are ineffective
Close combat is met with wetted mouths
These are true knights
Armor, swords, and shields
Effective walking tanks
Close combat is their forte
They work effectively as a unit
Droids, aliens and men
Fear their coming
Worlds where blasters once reigned supreme
Are brought to their knees at the coming of these Warrior Knights.
