This is a strange world that we live in these days. It is one that maybe was not planned and yet the eye sees.
Churches, blessed by God, are seen as the most judgemental and cursed places in the United States. Full of men and women that will gossip about their neighbors and put down anyone if it only means that that person can feel better about their life for a second longer. Churches that preach of community and togetherness as long as you “donate” a tithe that gains the recognition of the pastor and deacons. Churches have in a lot of ways lost their path and they feel comfortable leading the flock of God away from the Shepard.
Gyms, the places that encourage people to lose weight, the focus on the physical aspect of life. Yet the rooms are oddly quiet, bars clink and clank. No voices. Everyone in a gym is quiet, a place full of people. People that work on themselves and hold their own judgment. It is a place full of life, from the biggest man to the tiniest lady. Everyone comes here to work on themselves.
The Army, or the armed forces, I am speaking to what I know of right now as of March 31st, 2025, my opinion my change in the future. The Army is a place of yelling, screaming, and torture for either a gym rat or a church going Christian. How much weight you can bench means zilch to how many push ups you can do. How many people can you throw under the church bus, is painful when you receive the same punishment for the fault of the one you caught. The army means to break you of your single mindness and teach you to work as a team. You succeed together and fail together. You lift each other up and help each other when down. You volunteered for this after all. What could the next great challenge be once you have conquered this one?
