In my field of security services, technology has both made my job easier and more difficult. The ease comes from all the cameras and robots watching the clients’ most valuable assets. The difficulty comes from the cilent also watching me watching the security cameras. It is a practice of silliness. The client fears that I might fall asleep and that I would miss all the boring nothingness that happens on camera.

All that good technology at work and the best use that they have for it is to fire people for being too effective at their own work.
