In 1974, Bison decided to try his hand at mercenary work and started raiding and pillaging villages to keep buying the loyalty of his men. He figured as long as his men were happy and fed with the ability to kill and ravage then he could command them to do whatever he wanted. One of the raiding attempts failed and Bison was chased away as he watched his men get slaughtered and their courage crumbled like money being burned. Bison was able to kill the village magistrate before being chased away as well. The only reason he ran at all was because the bought loyalty could not even compare to true loyalty.
Bison was alone in all of his future endeavors, but that did not stop him from continuing his march toward world domination. One day he happened upon a missionary that had proclaimed a Christian faith toward Bison. Before Bison snapped the Missionary’s neck, he learned a supposed path to immortality. Hearing of Jesus’ immortality and his followers fierce and dying loyalty to the end. The thought was placed in Bison’s mind as a way to actually conquer the world. If one man could convince himself that he was god, then people would naturally flock to him and lay their lives on the line.
As he continued to push forward and continued to pay his soldiers a doctor, Dhalsim came into view as a prominent figure in the psychological world as his experiments with brainwashing monkeys to do simple bidding was seen all over the world. Dhalsim became the primary target in a raid of Bison’s . Bison wanted to capture Dhalsim and pervert his work to make himself out to be the hero of the world, if not its god. After a successful raid in 1979, Dhalsim was captured and forced into slave labor.
Within the first year of Dhalsim’s capture, human testing of the brainwashing began. Bison was pleased that at least the slaves began to view him as a god. He was worshiped and the slave no longer sought to be anywhere without him. It was during this time that an ancient temple near Shadaloo City was excavated and a forced labor to construct Bison’s base of operations was started. The ten story deep structure was outfitted with some of the most advanced weaponry and technology that the world had ever known. It was at this time that a brilliant computer engineer was recruited from Microsoft, this is Dee Jay. Dee Jay conducted the slave army to set up radar defenses, perimeter guns and proximity mines along the river near the temple so that Bison would be well protected.
Any new recruits or mercenaries were subjected to mandatory training videos at Bison’s demand. The training video was just one of Dhalsim’s brainwashing experiments and caused the new recruits to become more slave that could view Bison as their general and supreme commander. They all followed him with the utmost loyalty.
There was one drawback to this sort of brainwashing that Bison employed. The brainwashing needed a constant and almost imperceptible low frequency hum that required a massive amount of power to emit all the time. Solar fields and river dams allowed the slave base to operate without fail. As long as the power held steady then the slaves would remain with unfailing loyalty. That sort of thing was hard to maintain when raids where conducted, so Bison commissioned a special suit to be made that would make him part cybernetic so that his slaves would remain slaves even while outside the base, as long as they were near him.
There was a small amount of surgery that was require for this special suit to be made applicable to Bison. It was during this recovery time that Dhalsim enacted a special sort of brainwashing on Bison himself. The program was suppose to convince Bison that there was a god and that he should cease his piracy and evil. The program was corrupted and failed immensley and completely backfired. Instead of Bison thinking that there is a god, Bison instead became convinced that he was a god. His army of slaves that constantly surrounded him inside his base and whenever he went out on extrusions only helped to reinforce that particular brainwashing.
In 1990 the city of Shadaloo became the embroilment of war. Bison invited all sorts of weapon makers to come and test their weapons of destruction with his willing army of slaves. So while the armies crusaded with no knowledge of what they were doing it was Bison that was reaping the benefits of war and Dhalsim that was losing all hope for the future.
When relief workers were captured in a raid, Bison set the stage for his small army to defeat the Allied Nations of the world. Americans, British and Japanese were the primary soldiers that were sent to quell the slaves of Shadoloo city. Under the command of Colonel Guile of the USA, the AN began a lengthy war with General Bison. The war went on for so long because Bison had no lack of slaves and the war corperations enjoyed seeing their fruits put to the test. General Bison was truly an insane man with a god-complex that felt he could do no wrong.
