From M.S. Crowsfeet – Speaking for the Silent

It is a problem that humans have been dealing with since the creation of the Church. What role should women have in the Church? The simple answer is servants. This is the truth just as Jesus, Blessed be He, was a servant to all people, so should women be servants to the glory of God. It seems odd that I should have to tell you this. All children of God, adopted and real, should be servants to God, blessed be He. Angels recognize him as an insurmountable force, it is men that fail to know God. They have closed their ears, shut their eyes, stopped up their noses, broken their spines and removed their own tongues. It has fallen that men have forgotten how to love God. So for a small instance God granted men women, so that both may know the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 11:7-12 NIV

A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. [8] For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; [9] neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. [10] It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels. [11] Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. [12] For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

But what then do you say of the speech of women? So like children you are and have remained. If God did not wish to hear His Words dance across their tongues, He would have said so. For it is with equal partnership that both men and women have been cursed. Do not slip into thinking that men are more wise or women more foolish. For both men and women have held the titles of Judge and Prophet. It is the thinking of men to believe that they are less willing to be convinced to sin. It is the work of the devils to allow man to believe that he is greater than woman. For while Eve may have plucked the fruit, it was Adam that stood by and said nothing. Adam was supposed to be Eve’s protector and he failed miserably. So then should it be the unwise that dictates to the wise what they should do and how they ought to walk with God? Nay. There is none more righteous than God. Indeed, His Spirit has many mouths. Shunt them not and hear their words. For a greater command was given by Paul, “if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop”. It is with this thought that revelations are allowed to anyone. Epiphanies are rare and few to even the most learned mind, if it be the will of God for words to be spoken then men should stop and listen and perhaps new wisdom will be gained.

1 Corinthians 14:26-40 NIV

What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. [27] If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. [28] If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. [29] Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. [30] And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. [31] For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. [32] The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. [33] For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people. [34] Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. [35] If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. [36] Or did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? [37] If anyone thinks they are a prophet or otherwise gifted by the Spirit, let them acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. [38] But if anyone ignores this, they will themselves be ignored. [39] Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. [40] But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.

But then do you also stop the words of the unknown brother? One that has traveled from far off lands, do you stop him from partaking in a meal with you? Do you not believe him when he says that he is your brother? Though you may question his ways and practices, what right have you to deny him what God has given so freely? If he wishes to break bread and drink wine, invite him in and sit with him and fellowship. Why, children, do you so readily deny the wisdom that he may speak? Do you not see that he may have been sent by the Father to impart words or actions that may influence others? Does your division of faith not allow you to believe that he is who he says he is? If that is the case, how shallow is your faith that not even a miracle of God can be felt? You follow your religion so strictly that you fail to see the small miracles placed within your view every day. Though not all men were born to be adopted by God, it is up to you to feel the invitation, and bless them if they refuse it.

Acts 10:11-15 NIV

He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. [12] It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. [13] Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” [14] “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” [15] The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
