The beauty of a Lady

Why mothers do you teach you daughters about makeup?

This a silly thing and something that only lies about a defined beauty.

You mock and disturb the natural order.

You hide the pains and perils that men face.

You try to look strong underneath powder and bile.

The sweet smell ought to be contrived through what is ingested.

Your fasting has nothing to do with prayer.

You seek to deceive and lie.

That is the truth to what makeup is.

Within natural beauty,

Your skin will build its own foundation.

The sunlight will bless your skin.

Are not the decorations that you place on yourself cumbersome and worrying?

For if you lose an earring or a bracelet,

Then you have lost many weeks or months of earnings.

How high must the cost be to remain in fashion?

It may be better put toward the gas or electric bill than toward the lies and deceit that you try to force on the world.
