If you have lived
A life as long as mine
You would know that
Life fulfilled is a hard to do
To dance throughout
To feel joy
To be loved
What a life is owed
To feel her hand in mine
In youth
with twists and turns
In middle age
with sways and spins
In old age
with walkers and canes
The joy we had
was unheard of
Now that age has come
A deathbed dance is what is left
The plots are chosen
The doctors have said
Three weeks at most
Nothing can be done
Except wait for the inevitable
The grass on the plots
The tombstone already cemented
The children are gathered
A party is held
There we dance again
A dance on our graves
What a fulfilled life!
