What is it about making a book that people find hard?

The writing? Maybe. Writing is easy if you do it all the time. And I don’t just mean for work. Like it is your hobby and your therapy. It allows to voice inner thoughts and ideas that you weren’t knowledgeable that you had. Writing is not hard.

The organizing? Perhaps. Every human is capable of organizing. It is one of the first things that we are taught as children. But organizing our thoughts into a complex thought process that even the most simple minded can understand is a bit more difficult.

The cover? Not really. The cover of a book should demonstrate everything that the book holds in it. For example, the Bible is the most popular and powerful book to ever be in existence. However most copies are given in leather bound, that is because the Bible is meant to be carried and taken everywhere and leather is a sturdy cover that can live up to that promise.

The marketing? Absolutely. There is nothing more terrifying to an introvert author than having someone else market and push your thoughts on an unwitting audience, then having it be well received. Talk shows and radio programs that place a face and voice to your words. Words that were meant to be a comfort in your time of need, others are of the like mind, and want to know you more.

The success? Yes. Whether you realize it or not, you have published a book. Whether through a company or on your own. You have accomplished a feat that everyone wants to do and that few have actually done. You have influenced others to take up the march and try and better themselves. Whether or not you make money is not important. It is important that you have a story that you are willing to share. You have done it, your name is on a book.

It is hard to make a book because you are afraid of being known. Be afraid no more and publish today. It’s easy.
