Perhaps it is the old ways that need to be remembered more than the creation of the new memories. For new memories become old ways in time and are, thus seen as old ways yet again. Within the city far from others, planes fill the winds, trains and automobiles crawl across the fields. Men that once tilled the soil, now talk in boxes. Women that once reared families, hire others to handle their own children. Children that once found joy in playing in the woods and forest, would now rather be entertained by someone else’s imagination. Still, though years have passed and if you are looking, you may still see the protector. He is know as being very old and yet, unknown. A creature that seeks to accomplish its duty to see men rise and fall, but always to keep a watchful eye on the land that he was given. Great and ruthless he is, but he is not without his humble kindness. It is only to those that seek to do his wards harm that he rises up and becomes more terrible than the fiercest thunderstorm. Generations have come and gone. Parents have children and Children become parents, and all the while He remains constant. An unwavering mountain in the midst of the forest. His howl shatters the very atmosphere. His bite can crack the tectonic land. His eyes can pierce the moonless, starless nights and see beyond the horizon. His hearing is second to none, as he must hear all the concerns of all living creatures and deal with them as he sees fit. His fur is soft and warm, like a bed that is long missed. His haunches and mighty and powerful, for he covers hundreds of miles everyday. Do not downplay his intelligence, for his wisdom has been sought after. He is the steward of his land and he treats it fairly. Visitors be wary upon entering this haven, for the Wolf is on guard for the time.
