Borderlessness taken to the nth degree
By Zachary Furr
As of March 32nd 2018, the Southern California Academy of Technology, or SCAT, has decided that they support open borders and they are showing their support by taking the doors and walls off of the stalls and bathrooms. There by allowing all peoples of different positions to spread their joy of this decision into whatever toilet they choose.
The Campus staff couldn’t be more thrilled at this choice. Jane Smith, a sociology professor said, “That by allowing more students, faculty, and even random strangers to show up on campus and see all the opportunities available to current and future students and even past alumni. They fully expect to see their patented brown applications to be overflowing from the ceramic receivers.”
But, of course, there are the naysayers. Justin Ruces says “That the once stalls, used to provide privacy and phone number as well as 15 year old rumors. Now that the toilets are all out in the open, everyone justs talks and there is no privacy left in SCAT at all.”
The faculty still has their own private bathroom, protected by locked doors, safe and secured. The teachers have advocated that they prefer the locked doors to the open borders so that they can do business in comfort, far away from their students open stalls.
Will the new open borders trend start to catch on? One can only hope that these open borders remain open for all the public centers of commerce and beyond.
